Chain of basic English restaurants offering exteremly unadventurous food in disappointing surroundings. When your American friends say 'The food in London is terrible' you know they've been to one of the myriad of Angus Steakhouses/Garfunkels dotted around. Mind you, this is just a personal opinion, and we have even received a good review. Depends on your expectations I suppose.

Abstract decor with bright mosaic walls and crazy iron staircase - classy service with dishes ranging from the simple (swordfish with garlic olive oil)to the extravagant (duck foie gras marinated in brandy with candied peel). Approx £30 p/head (3 courses)without wine. Save space for outrageous desserts!

This award nominated authentic Indian restaurant has just completed an extensive refurbishment project making it a must visit for anybody who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine at its best.
Customers come from all over London to sample the large selection of mouth watering dishes that are freshly prepared daily and cooked infront of them in pristine open plan kitchens. Everything on the menu is delicious but specialities that deserve mention are the Mixed Tandori Grill, Karahi dishes and the Naan breads.
The atmosphere is buzzy with people often queueing outside for a table. The service is fast and friendly and the new decor with it's quality marble floors and tastefully styled Italian furnitre has brought the style of this west london local restaurant inline with any of its competitors in Central London.
With an average meal still costing as little as £10.00 per head,it is hardly surprising that Gifto's is alway s packed to the gills whatever the time of the day or night, despite the fact that there are 20 or so other Indian restaurants in this stretch of Southall alone.
