This site was designed by Artilect Ltd (formerly Event System Services Ltd).
It is an evolvement of the original London Restaurant Database site, with full online searching and updating of restaurants.
When you submit a review, you can optionally add your email address; if you want to add a new restaurant, you will need to supply your email address. But don't worry - this is a site run by a restaurant lover, not a spam fiend - We'll never divulge your email to anybody.
We used to have an automatic "mailto" link on the reviews, so that other people could get in touch with a reviewer. We've turned that feature off to keep the emails private.
The reason we ask for an email is so that for those people who regularly submit good reviews or new restaurants, we can allow thier reviews and restaurants to go directly into the main database without somebody having to check them. Very occasionally we may email you with interesting information about the site (such as reviewers nights out, mentions in the press, etc.), but there will be a link in any email we send to turn off this facility. In any case please accept our word that emails will be sent very rarely, as it's all done manually, and I hate typing!
